The Global Book Awards aim to recognise talented authors who have not received the recognition they deserve, whether in traditional publishing or in self-publishing.
In this modern age of publishing, books need to be appraised not only by their content and writing style but also by the way they present and market themselves to the prospective buyer, whether that is in the good ratings it has on important stores like Amazon, its book cover and description, or the number of reviews it has collected. They must also appeal to new readers, so part of the evaluation included a survey asking avid readers to select the top 5 books they enjoyed the most.
I feel so honoured to receive this award. To be an award-winning author who has been recognised internationally is one of my long-standing dreams. When I wrote my book, I endeavoured to share with my readers this amazing story about love, love between humans, between humans and aliens and the love for our planet, and to see that this beautiful story has global acclaim makes me feel proud and even more determined to let it be known even more widely across the word.
